Qualifications and Experience
General Requirements
- Educational Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized under the Indian Medical Council (IMC) Act, 1956 or by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Experience: Varies by department and qualification level.
Specific Department Requirements
Endocrinology and Metabolism
- Qualification: DM or equivalent recognized by the NMC.
- Experience:
- 2 or 5-year courses: One year of teaching experience post-qualification.
- 3 or 6-year courses: No additional experience required.
Gastroenterology
- Qualification: DM or equivalent recognized by the NMC.
- Experience:
- 2 or 5-year courses: One year of teaching experience post-qualification.
- 3 or 6-year courses: No additional experience required.
Nuclear Medicine
- Qualification: MD or equivalent recognized by the NMC.
- Experience: Three years of teaching experience post-qualification.
Radio-Diagnosis
- Qualification: MD or equivalent recognized by the NMC.
- Experience:
- M.Ch. in Surgical Gastroenterology (2 or 5 years): One year of teaching/research experience.
- M.Ch. in Surgical Gastroenterology (3 or 6 years): No additional experience required.
